Mom admits to speeding away in a van as a first-grader clung to the door trying to stop her from abandoning him

A mom who tried to ditch her kids in the woods, killing one as he clung to the door as his caregiver sped away, admitted to the depraved acts.

Brittany Gosney pleaded guilty to one count of murder and two counts of felony child endangerment during a hearing in an Ohio court on Aug. 16, according to multiple reports.

She will be sentenced at a later date and faces life in prison.

FrontPageDetectives reported in March that police charged Gosney and her boyfriend, James Hamilton, in connection to the death of James Hutchinson, 6. Gosney reported Hutchinson, her son, missing, but police said she was the killer.

Police frantically searched for Hutchinson along a riverbed but have not found his remains.

Gosney admitted torturing and hog-tying two of Hutchinson’s siblings, according to the Journal News. Gosney tried to abandon the three children., but Hutchinson, a first-grader, tried to hold on to her minivan and she sped off. He died as he tried to stop his mom from fleeing.

Gosney brought Hutchinson’s body back to the home she shared with Hamilton, according to the Journal News.

The duo put the child’s body in a spare room and days later threw the boy into the Ohio River, police said and the News Journal reported.

Hutchinson’s feet were tied to a concrete block before being tossed in the river, according to the report.
