Prosecutors Play Phone Call Between Doomsday Mom Lori Vallow And Chad Daybell From Day Cops Searched Property For Kids’ Bodies

The trial for Doomsday mom Lori Vallow continued on Wednesday and prosecutors played for the court a phone call between Vallow and Chad Daybell from the day investigators searched their property for the kids’ bodies, officials said.

On April 12, prosecutors played the phone call that captured the moment Daybell warned Vallow that police were closing in, the Independent reported.

The call was made on June 9, 2020, when “Cult Mom” Vallow was behind bars in Madison County Jail, officials said. Daybell can be heard telling his new wife that police are on the scene searching his property in Rexburg, Idaho.

Daybell called his wife in the jail at 11:03 a.m., officials said. She answered saying, “Are you okay?”

Daybell tells her “they are searching the property” and then a lot of the conversation is inaudible, the Independent reported. They can be heard discussing the police presence and Vallow asked if they were “in the house” and “seizing stuff again.”

Daybell said, “They’re searching…they’re searching.” He later said, “So, we’ll see what transpires.”

Vallow does ask Daybell if he wants her to do anything and he responds "pray" and recommends she call her attorney, authorities said.

The couple repeatedly tell each other, “I love you,” before the call ends with Vallow asking, “Shall I try to call you later?” Daybell, who seemed unsure, said, “I don’t know…if you can,” the Independent reported.

About an hour later, police found the remains of Vallow’s children, Joshua “J.J.” Vallow and Tylee Ryan, buried on Daybell’s property, which Front Page Detectives previously reported.

Doomsday mom Vallow is charged with murder in the deaths of her two children, J.J. and Tylee, Front Page Detectives previously reported. She was also charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the death of her husband Chad Daybell’s first wife Tammy Daybell.

The trial against Lori Vallow is ongoing.
