Savannah Guthrie Turns to Private Investigators as Nancy Guthrie Remains Missing for Four Months

Savannah Guthrie has reportedly shifted her focus to private investigators to find Nancy Guthrie
As the Pima County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have failed to locate Nancy Guthrie after nearly four months, Savannah Guthrie has reportedly shifted her focus to private investigators.
According to journalist Rob Shuter’s Substack Naughty But Nice, Savannah has formed a team of experts, including private investigators, security specialists, and former federal agents, to find leads that can eventually lead to her mother.
Savannah Guthrie is Relying on Private Investigators to Find Nancy

According to sources quoted by Shuter, Savannah is disappointed with the slow progress of the PCSO and FBI probe. Hence, she has decided not to rely solely on the official investigation and is making efforts to find her mother herself.
“Savannah is paying whatever it takes to keep this search active. She refuses to rely solely on law enforcement,” the sources said. The private investigation is costing a lot of money, but that is the least of Savannah’s concerns right now. She remains focused on finding Nancy regardless of the financial burden.
“Money doesn’t matter to her right now. This is about finding her mother. If more investigators, more security, or more resources help, she’ll keep paying for them. She still believes her mom can be found. That’s why the private investigators are still working every single day,” the insiders stated.
Savannah Is Reportedly Disappointed With Sheriff Chris Nanos

Shuter also reported that Savannah is frustrated with the lack of transparency in the case by Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos. The sheriff recently stated that he is not in touch with the Guthrie family anymore, as his team is handling the investigation.
“I personally am not [in touch with them]. If they [the detectives] need the family for anything, they get in touch with them and the family. It works both ways,” Nanos said in an interview with People magazine earlier this month.
But the lack of clear communication has reportedly upset Savannah, which is why she has expanded the private search for Nancy. “That was incredibly upsetting for Savannah. She expected urgency and direct communication. Instead, she feels the investigation became distant and procedural,” sources told Shuter.
Nanos has been under constant scrutiny due to the slow pace of the investigation. However, the sheriff has maintained that his team is doing whatever they can to find Nancy and her culprits. Investigators are currently focusing on analyzing DNA evidence, which, Nanos said, is a time-consuming process.
“It moves at a snail’s pace, I guess for some. But for my investigative team, and for me, we look at this as, no, this is doing exactly what we need it to do. I believe, at some point in time, we will make an arrest on this case. And whoever that individual is, that individual will have a right to a fair and impartial trial,” Nanos told 13 News when the investigation approached the 100-day mark earlier in May.
