An investigative reporter has noticed suspicious activity at Nancy Guthrie’s home as the investigation into her disappearance entered a third month. After Nancy disappeared on the night of February 1, her Catalina Foothills home was declared a crime scene.

Investigators, including deputies from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, searched the property for clues before handing it back to her family. Ever since, family members have been spotted visiting the home.

Investigative Reporter Says Boxes are Being Taken Out of Nancy’s Home

Jonathan Lee Riches, a self-styled investigative journalist, has now reported seeing someone removing boxes out of Nancy’s home. Riches, who has closely followed the case and continues to be present in the neighborhood made the claim in a recent post on X.

He wrote, “People are taking boxes out of Nancy Guthrie's home without her consent.” However, he did not reveal who these people were. Riches then followed it up with another post, “The Nancy Guthrie case is pure evil!”

Social media users had varied reactions to the information, as many pointed out that Nancy’s family members could be taking stuff out of her home. “I am genuinely curious if this is really without her consent. If it’s her family, I am sure they are allowed to secure her belongings,” one person commented.

Another user replied, “She would WANT her family to take care of business and give her dignity. It's not hard to understand.” Some also theorized that the family may know something about Nancy’s condition that has not been made public, which could explain why they are removing items from her home.

“Family's action of cleaning out her house & Savannah going back to work definitely tells me that they know she's not coming back. No family w/ missing family member would give up like they have so early. They have to know something,” one social media user remarked.

Another penned, “People, how long do you wait? If by chance Nancy is alive & comes back home her kids will never let her live in that home again & I can assure you Nancy wouldn’t want to. It can never be that family's home again. They need to clean it out.”

Nancy’s Family is Facing Public Scrutiny

Ever since Nancy disappeared, her family has been thrust into the spotlight. Her younger daughter, Savannah Guthrie, was already a known face and is now gearing up to return to the Today show after over two months of absence.

Nancy’s eldest daughter, Annie Guthrie, and son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, began facing public scrutiny as they were reportedly the last people to see her before she went missing. Some even blamed the couple for Nancy’s kidnapping, but investigators have clarified that none of the family members had any involvement in the disappearance.

The family has promised a $1 million reward for anyone who comes up with information that could lead to their mother’s return. However, despite the reward and the extensive investigation, the suspect remains at large.
