‘Teen Mom’ Star Ryan Edwards Calls 911 on Wife Amanda Conner Before Her DUI Arrest, Baby Allegedly in Car

Amanda Conner, the wife of former “Teen Mom” star Ryan Edwards, was arrested on May 24 in Tennessee on charges of driving under the influence and child abuse or neglect, according to TMZ and jail records obtained by the outlet.

A spokesperson for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office jail told TMZ that Conner was taken into custody near Chattanooga early in the morning. Authorities also accused her of driving on the wrong side of the road during the incident. Her bond was set at $16,000, and she was still believed to be in custody as of May 24.

Court restrictions tied to the case would prevent Conner from being near the child involved if she is released on bond. She would also not be allowed to contact the person caring for the child while the legal case moves forward. Officials have not said how long those conditions will remain in place.

TMZ reported that it obtained a dispatch audio connected to the arrest. In the recording, a husband allegedly called police because he said he feared his wife was abusing narcotics.

“We’ve obtained dispatch audio from the incident … in which a dispatcher says a husband called police on his wife – telling them he worried she was using narcotics because she would not submit to a drug test,” TMZ reported.

The report also said the dispatcher claimed the husband told police the woman left with a baby inside the vehicle. The audio did not identify either person by name.

Authorities have not released further details about the arrest or said whether additional charges could follow. It is also unclear whether Conner has hired an attorney.

Edwards first appeared on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” in 2009 alongside then-girlfriend Maci Bookout. The pair later became regular cast members on Teen Mom, which was later renamed Teen Mom OG.

Over the years, Edwards remained a familiar figure in the franchise and later appeared on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

Edwards was married to Mackenzie Standifer from 2017 to 2023. After the split, he began dating Conner and proposed in 2024. The couple married in 2025.

They share a one-year-old daughter, Persley. Edwards is also the father of 17-year-old Bentley, whom he shares with Bookout. He also has two children with Standifer, son Jagger, 7, and daughter Stella, 6.
