Incident Details
Craig Berry was wanted on suspicion of murder after he attacked his wife at their Tennessee home and shot her as she tried to drive away on the night of April 30. The Stewart County Sheriff’s Office also said that the accused’s wife suffered a neck wound and was later released from the hospital. Berry’s body was discovered several miles from his residence, near the area where trail cameras captured him entering the woods, according to a report by CNN.
According to Sheriff Frankie Gray said based on the decomposition of Berry’s body, he must have died shortly after he fled on May 1. Heat-detection planes also did not detect anything in the immediate area the next day.
