Texas Man Arrested After Alleged ‘Death to Erika Kirk’ Threats Ahead of TPUSA Summit

A Texas man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Erika Kirk at an upcoming TPUSA event.
Following Charlie Kirk’s assassination, his wife and the new CEO of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), Erika Kirk, has received death threats. A Texas man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Kirk at an upcoming TPUSA event.
Jacob Wenske, a 26-year-old San Antonio native, is accused of making threatening comments against Kirk on social media and also sending a warning email to TPSUA. The San Antonio Police Department took Wenske into custody on May 27.
Jacob Wenske’s Threats Against Erika Kirk
Jacob Wenske had allegedly also written a threatening email to TPUSA back in January.
In April, TPUSA announced that its Women’s Leadership Summit would take place at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter from June 5 to 7. After a Facebook post promoted the event, Wenske allegedly made several threatening remarks about Kirk in the comments.
“I know exactly where to bomb,” one of the comments read. He wrote in another comment, “I can't wait to be the valet for her escort.” The San Antonio Police Department was able to trace the Facebook profile to Wenske’s IP address, email, and phone number.
Investigators found out that the accused had previously worked as a valet for a parking management company. Hence, they determined that the threats could be serious. Upon investigation, they learned that Wenske had allegedly also written a threatening email to TPUSA back in January.
“Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!! America will live on without those scum on this earth. Every Christian nationalist shall perish in the bombing that will take place at every single Turning Point rally and event,” the email read.
The Charges Against Wenske
The charges against Wenske
Wenske was eventually arrested and booked at the Bexar County jail. His bail has been set at $120,000. He is facing two counts of making a terroristic threat, causing public fear of serious bodily injury. The third-degree felony charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to $10,000.
TPUSA’s Women’s Leadership Summit will go on as planned, but officials have decided to increase security at the venue as a precaution. Several uniformed officers, private security personnel, and bomb-sniffing dogs will be deployed during the event.
TPUSA has thanked law enforcement for arresting Wenske. The organization wrote in an official statement on X, “We are grateful to the San Antonio Police Department and the FBI for their rapid response and arrest of the individual making these threats.”
“The safety of our attendees, speakers, and staff is always our top priority. All TPUSA events include enhanced, multi-layered security measures that are enforced by both private security and local police. We refuse to let threats silence us,” the statement further read.
Erika Kirk assumed the position of CEO of TPUSA following Charlie’s death in September 2025. Charlie, who co-founded the organisation, was shot dead during a debate at Utah Valley University. Tyler James Robinson, 22, has been accused of his death and will be facing trial in the upcoming months.
