According to the documents, the note read, "If you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry. I left the house this morning on a mission, and set an auto text."

It continued, "I am likely dead, or facing a lengthy prison sentence. I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it. I don’t know if I will/have succeeded, but I had hoped to make it home to you."

He further wrote, "I wish we could have lived in a world where this did not feel necessary," adding, "I wish I could have stayed for you and lived our lives together. I lack the words to express how much I love you, and how very much you mean to me."

Robinson concluded the letter, writing, "Please try and find joy in this life. I love you, always, -Tyler."

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during a campus event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025. He was hosting his signature "Prove Me Wrong" table as part of his American Comeback Campus Tour when he was shot in the neck while engaging with the audience.

"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us," the president wrote at the time on his Truth Social.

He was later charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child.

In the same report, The Salt Lake Tribune also reported that the suspected assassin texted his partner after fleeing the scene following the shooting, saying he was growing worried he would be caught.
