On March 4, plaques in memory of Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre appeared outside Buckingham Palace in London. The signs were placed in the palace’s exterior gardens by activist group Everyone Hates Elon.
The plaques were the group’s way to protest against Jeffrey Epstein’s associates, and demand justice for the victims of the convicted s– offender. The sign featured the title ‘Virginia Giuffre Memorial Garden' along with a picture of Giuffre.
Virginia Giuffre Memorial Plaques Placed Outside Buckingham Palace
The plaques were placed in Bukingham palace’s exterior gardens by activist group Everyone Hates Elon.
A message on the plaque read, “In honour of Virginia Giuffre, whose campaigning exposed s—-- abuse by powerful men like Jeffrey Epstein and former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Her bravery and determination brought the truth to light. May she be remembered long after her abusers are forgotten.”
For those unfamiliar, Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the King of the United Kingdom, whose brother, former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was accused of s—-- abuse by Giuffre. She was one of the most vocal victims of Epstein, and alleged that the financier and his girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, trafficked her to Mountbatten-Windsor when she was only 17.
In a widely circulated photograph, the former Prince was seen with his hand around Giuffre’s waist at Maxwell’s London home. The victim reached a financial settlement with Mountbatten-Windsor in 2022, but the trauma took a toll on her, and she took her own life in April 2025.
Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any wrongdoing and claimed he does not even remember meeting Giuffre. He has also maintained that the picture that showed the two together was morphed.
Everyone Hates Elon is a British campaign group that has often called for justice for Epstein victims. Speaking about the placement of the memorial plaques, a spokesperson for the group told Daily Star, “She wasn't here to see the arrest of Prince Andrew, but don't let the world ever forget Virginia Giuffre.”
"She demanded justice against her abusers. She never gave in. So we just installed this right outside Buckingham Palace. Welcome to the Virginia Giuffre Memorial Garden. Shame on the royal family if they don’t keep this new memorial we’ve placed in Buckingham Palace gardens.”
However, about 90 minutes after the signs were placed, a royal worker appeared in the garden and removed them. Everyone Hates Elon then released another statement expressing disappointment over the removal.
The group told Metro, “Of course, we are disappointed. We feel Andrew and the whole world should be made to remember Virginia’s bravery forever. Billionaires and their mates think they can get away with anything. They think ordinary people will never fight back – let alone win. Yet Virginia Giuffre never stopped standing up to Epstein and Andrew.”
Mountbatten-Windsor was Arrested Last Month
Virginia Giuffre alleged that Jeffrey Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell trafficked her to Mountbatten-Windsor when she was only 17.
Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his royal titles by King Charles III in October 2025 after fresh reports of his association with Epstein emerged. In the Epstein Files released by the Department of Justice, the former Prince was mentioned several times.
On February 18, 2026, the U.K. police arrested him for suspected misconduct in public office. The documents declassified in the Epstein Files alleged that Mountbatten-Windsor had shared sensitive information with Epstein while serving as a UK trade envoy between 2001 and 2011.
Giuffre’s family welcomed the arrest and appreciated the authorities' action. Mountbatten-Windsor was released after around 11 hours of questioning but remains under investigation.
