Former television personality and daughter of Todd Chrisley, Lindsie Chrisley was arrested in Georgia on May 23 on DUI-related charges. Chrisley, 36, was booked into the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office around 10:25 p.m. According to PEOPLE, she was released after posting bond in the early hours of May 24.

The former Chrisley Knows Best star was charged with DUI less safe, attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving, and speeding. Her bail was set at $1,355 for the DUI less safe charge, $680 for improper passing, $565 for reckless driving, and $2,006 for speeding. Chrisley was seen smiling in her prison mug shot.

What Is a DUI Less Safe Charge?

In Georgia, a DUI Less Safe charge applies when a driver is accused of operating a vehicle while impaired, even if their blood alcohol concentration is below the state's legal limit of 0.08%. Prosecutors may pursue the charge if law enforcement believes the driver’s ability to operate a vehicle safely was impaired.

Potential Penalties

Penalties for a first-time DUI Less Safe conviction are generally similar to those for a standard DUI conviction and may include:

The 36-year-old told TMZ that she was pulled over after attempting to pass another vehicle. “I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was,” she said.

She told the outlet that she intends to fight the charge.

Lindsie Chrisley’s Boyfriend Arrested for Aggravated Assault in Georgia

Lindsie Chrisley's boyfriend David Landsman, was arrested in Georgia, weeks before her arrest. According to TMZ, Woodstock Police booked him in Cherokee County jail on one count of aggravated assault on April 10.

He allegedly called the police to turn himself in after a heated argument with Chrisley. After she allegedly confronted him over a lie, he went “berserk”, even as Chirsley tried to remove herself from the situation.

By the time deputies arrived at the residence, a source says they saw visible injuries on Chirsley, according to Just Jared.

Woodstock Police Department Captain Ron Sinfelt said in a statement to People magazine, “When we have a case of that magnitude, our detectives conduct follow-ups and make sure the case is completely investigated.”

Chrisley Family Legal History

In August 2019, Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were indicted on 12 federal charges, including conspiracy to commit bank fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion. The couple was convicted on all counts in June 2022.

In November 2022, Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Both Todd and Julie Chrisley were later pardoned by Donald Trump in May 2025.
