JPMorgan Dismisses Harassment Suit as “Fabrication’ as Anonymous Accused is Unmasked

JPMorgan has dismisses the allegations that their executive assaulted a colleague
A s**ual harassment lawsuit filed against a senior JPMorgan executive has been dismissed by the bank as baseless. The sources have now identified the anonymous accuser as Chirayu Rana, a 35-year-old finance professional.
The lawsuit, which was filed earlier this week under the name “John Doe,” accused the executive director, Lorna Hajdini, of serious misconduct. The filing included allegations that she drugged and coerced the plaintiff into se**al acts and threatened his bonus if he refused. However, JPMorgan claims its internal investigation found no evidence to support these accusations.

“Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims,” the spokesperson said. “While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”
Sources informed The Post that Rana, now a principal at investment firm Bregal Sagemount, is the man behind the lawsuit. He has not issued any official comments regarding the matter, nor has his lawyer, Daniel J. Kaiser, issued a statement.
On the other hand, Hajdini strongly denied the claims. Her lawyers said, “She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind and has never even been to the location where the alleged se**al assault supposedly took place.”
The case first gained attention after a report by the outlet Daily Mail, which cited graphic details from court documents. Those documents, however, were later withdrawn for corrections.
According to sources, Rana joined JPMorgan's leveraged finance team in spring 2024. He later filed an internal complaint in May 2025, claiming harassment and abuse of power. Sources said he also tried to negotiate a multimillion-dollar exit package.
For now, the allegation of JPMorgan executive harassing a colleague has been shut down as lawsuit regains scrutiny
The lawsuit also names JPMorgan as a defendant, accusing the bank of retaliation and failing to investigate properly. However, the bank has rejected all those allegations.
People familiar with the bank’s team structure said Rana and Hajdini were colleagues but worked under different managers. Hajdini reported to managing director Brandon Graffeo, while Rana reported to Jon Wolter. This meant she had no control over his pay or bonus.
Colleagues also described Hajdini as a “strong performer.” One colleague said, “He has tarnished her with a complete fabrication.”
Rana’s past roles include jobs at several major firms before joining JPMorgan. Several property records also show his links to homes in New York and Virginia.
As of now, no trial date has been set. The lawsuit remains active, though the claims are now under severe scrutiny.
