JPMorgan Scandal: Chirayu Rana’s Case Takes A New Turn As Criminal Investigation Gets Closed

Investigation against JPMorgan Chase executive closed amid banker’s allegations
The investigation against a JPMorgan Chase senior executive over se**** abuse allegations has been closed by the Manhattan DA’s office. Latest reports suggest that the accusations made by the junior banker were found to be insufficiently consistent for a criminal investigation to proceed.
However, the latest developments in the scandal have also apparently brought to light unexpected details about the alleged victim. These have instead put him under scrutiny. In response, the 35-year-old banker doubled down on his allegations against the female executive on May 4 with additional evidence.
Banker Presents First-Person Evidence Against Executive
The allegedly se**** abused victim, Chirayu Rana, recently presented in an affidavit, first-person exhibits against Lorna Hajdini. He refiled the lawsuit and claimed to be dealing with PTSD as a result of the repeated abuse he suffered at her hands.
It comes after the prosecutors began a criminal investigation against Hajdini, but then declined to pursue charges against her. While Hajdini has denied the accusations through her attorney, an internal investigation by JPMorgan Chase also dismissed any merit to Rana’s claims.

Victim’s Claims Found Inconsistent
On grounds of Rana’s PTSD claims, a source disclosed that he was referred to a mental health counselor only after the inquiry was closed. It was believed that he would benefit from continued psychological support.
Meanwhile, a series of online posts and unusual information have suggested deeper inconsistencies in the tale of se**** abuse Rana accused Hajdini of. For instance, a website named “Ask A Lawyer” shows a person with the same name seeking legal advice from an AI chatbot about filing a lawsuit against a male employee at Morgan Stanley.
Rana’s work history confirms that he previously worked at the same company. Moreover, the nature of the search entry closely resembles the kind of accusations he made against Hajdini.
But it is the timing of this alleged legal help sought that has added more confusion. It seems to be done a month after Rana claimed to pursue an internal complaint against Hajdini’s actions within JPMorgan.
Another unconfirmed report by the New York Post claims that the banker had once informed his company that his father had died. However, it was untrue and done on purpose, so that he could take up a three-month-long bereavement leave.
Banker’s Defense Gives No Response To New Scrutiny
Concerning the latest scrutiny on Rana, his defense attorney Daniel Kaiser has not commented on these claims. But he confirmed on May 5 that the Manhattan DA’s office had indeed closed the case.
The defense did not clarify whether Rana indeed sought alleged legal help from an AI chatbot for suing a male executive at a company. Questions on his current employment and marital status have also stirred lack of transparency in the case.
Meanwhile, a JPMorgan insider has dismissed Rana’s allegations as baseless and fabricated. Speaking with the Daily Mail, the insider stated, “We believed from the outset the allegations were fabricated. I just feel so sorry for Hajdini because she's so highly thought of here. I hope she can move on from this.”
