According to NBC News, when police arrived, Brian Hooker was found intoxicated and had blood coming from his nose. He alleged that Lynette Hooker, who was also intoxicated, had a violent altercation with him. The missing woman allegedly threw four of five punches at his face.

An arrest report noted, “He stated he had never been hit like that in a long time. He started to cry and became emotional.” However, Lynette Hooker contradicted his claims. She told police that Brian Hooker hit her in the forehead, punched her once, and even choked her.

Her claims were questioned by responding officers because she did not have any visible injuries. She was later charged with assault and battery and spent a night in jail.

According to her arrest record, the altercation happened when Lynette Hooker was trying to get into the bedroom where her kids were present. Brian Hooker claimed he was trying to calm her down when she became violent.

The case could not proceed because there was “insufficient evidence as to who started the assault.” The warrant against her was ultimately denied.

Lynette Hooker's daughter alleged that Brian did not inform her about her mother’s disappearance until almost 24 hours later.

On April 9, Brian was arrested in connection with Lynette Hooker's disappearance. Details about their relationship have since surfaced, raising further questions about what may have happened.

The couple traveled to the Bahamas trip on a yacht called 'Soulmate'. They were on a dinghy when Lynette was swept away by currents after falling into the sea.

Authorities have conducted extensive searches for the woman. However, there have been no updates so far.

Lynette Hooker's daughter, Karli Aylesworth, first sounded the alarm on Brian Hooker. She alleged that he did not inform her about her mother’s disappearance until almost 24 hours later.

In a conversation with The Daily Beast, Brian Hooker said, “I categorically deny the allegations made by Karli Aylesworth.”

“At this time, I have retained local counsel, Terrel Butler, and I am acting on his strict advice not to provide further comment to the press, as there is currently an ongoing investigation,” he added.

Aylesworth also insisted that “something might have happened” to Lynette. “There’s a history of him choking her out and threatening to throw her overboard. So the fact that this is actually happening makes me believe there’s more to the story,” Aylesworth said in an interview to Fox News.
