Rosa was born in 1982, when Ted Bundy was in prison, a few years before he split with his wife in 1986

Ted Bundy is one of history’s most notorious serial killers, and he led a parallel life as a husband and a father. Ted Bundy was in prison when he and his wife, Carole Anne Boone, welcomed their daughter, Rosa, in 1982. Just a few years after their daughter Rosa was born, Ted Bundy’s wife divorced him, and she kept their daughter separated from the serial killer father. Boone divorced Bundy in 1986, six years after their daughter was born.

In 2020, in an Amazon Prime docuseries named “Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer,” Boone’s friend Daine Smith revealed how Bundy and Boone’s relationship unfolded. Smith also shared that they split in 1986, after Bundy confessed his crimes to Boone, who had believed he was innocent. Bundy brutally raped and murdered at least 30 women and girls across seven states between 1974 and 1978, including his newest confirmed victim, Laura Ann Aime.

After learning the truth, Boone kept Rosa away from Bundy. They did not say goodbye before his execution on January 24th, 1989.

Who is Ted Bundy’s daughter, and where is she now?

Rosa Bundy was born on October 24th, 1982. She and her mother lived on the verge of poverty at Gainesville, Fla, while Bundy was in prison, according to the reports of the only living witness.

Although Rosa’s childhood and upbringing haven’t been shared, she was in contact with Bundy in her early years.

In the docuseries on Amazon Prime, a maker drew a note from Rosa Bundy to Ted Bundy, which read, “I love you, Daddy.” Boone reportedly regularly bought Rosa to see Bundy in prison before they split.

In the docuseries, Boone’s friend Smith said that Boone became tired of Bundy, describing him as “exhausting, obsessive, moody, and demanding, as if she did not have enough to do.” Smith also said that Boone’s letters to Bundy became less frequent over time.

It wasn’t before the final day of Bundy’s execution that he confessed to her that he did commit many murders of which he was being accused; she left him, and even then, he did not admit guilt directly.

In fact, Bundy asked Boone if she could get a stay on his execution, and he would offer details on where the victim’s remains were left. “That was his way of telling hr that there were more bodies that he knew about and that he had actually killed all those people. That call was really devastating for her,” Smith said. “She was really angry.”

Smith said that was the last conversation Boone had with Bundy and that she forbade him from communicating with their daughter and ceased visiting him in prison. However, both Ted Bundy’s ex-wife and daughter had moved away after his death, and much about their whereabouts is not known.
